New! Metal Prints

A new series of five prints on aluminum. Interested in the background on how these developed? Read my blog post on the series

"A fiesta is a party, a carnival, a holiday, a celebration. I celebrate the body each time I draw a figure. I celebrate our freedom of expression through our bodies, and through line and color. (My body is not a temple, it's a playhouse)."

"By combining a photo of an ancient temple in Burma with a life drawing, I'm melding time, place, and media. With irony, I'm placing a nude female in a sacred Buddhist context. She is escaping, contorting, and climbing out - emerging from a traditional society and suggesting we consider the oppressive impact of religion on the Rohingya minority in Burma."
More timely than ever, Inside the Walls  is the piece that was selected by the juror for Discover , the January 2018 theme at SFWA. This work is an 18 x 24 inch dye-sublimation print on aluminum with gallery backing, produced by Scaleupart.com . Ed 1/1. ©2017srkirshenbaum

A Select Series of Prints on Paper

These very limited editions of fine art prints are originally created on my iPad Pro. They are archival pigment prints. Each is signed and numbered, mounted and framed. Most are also available as unframed A/Ps.

Springtime is Within is  an archival print on Aquarelle fine art paper originating from a digital collage created on my iPad. It is an edition of two. It's one of four works selected by curator Catherine Merrill for the 2018 group show, Paradise Lost.  ©2017srkirshenbaum
