New Works & Other News
New! Metal Prints
A new series of five prints on aluminum. Interested in the background on how these developed? Read my blog post on the series. See these new pieces in April at City Arts Cooperative Gallery on Valencia St., SF, CA
"A fiesta is a party, a carnival, a holiday, a celebration. I celebrate the body each time I draw a figure. I celebrate our freedom of expression through our bodies, and through line and color. (My body is not a temple, it's a playhouse)."
"By combining a photo of an ancient temple in Burma with a life drawing, I'm melding time, place, and media. With irony, I'm placing a nude female in a sacred Buddhist context. She is escaping, contorting, and climbing out - emerging from a traditional society and suggesting we consider the oppressive impact of religion on the Rohingya minority in Burma."
A Select Series of Prints on Paper
These very limited editions of fine art prints are originally created on my iPad Pro. They are archival pigment prints. Each is signed and numbered, mounted and framed. Most are also available as unframed A/Ps.
